Who is this course for?
This course is meant for students of music — not only piano students. That said, the piano is a very practical instrument to demonstrate on, so whichever instrument you play, this course can help you understand all you wanted to know about scales, chords and intervals at a beginner’s level.
What will you learn in this course?
In this course, you will learn all about “C Major” and its relative key of “A Minor”, “G Major” and “E Minor”, and finally “F Major” and “D minor”. I will also show you how to build chords on the first degree of the scale, Tonic I, the fourth degree of the scale, the Subdominant IV, and the fifth degree of the scale, the Dominant V, of each of these scales. I will explain to you why these chords are called Major or Minor chords, which will involve discussing the intervals I mentioned earlier.
What will you be able to do at the end of this course?
By the end of this course you will know C, G and F majors and A,E and D Minor scales, chords and major and minor Third Intervals. You will be able to recognise them within the pieces you play, which will make your music playing a lot more enjoyable.
The course is made up of three chapters. At the end of each chapter, there is a quiz to help you consolidate all the information you have gathered from the course.

Hello ,my name is Rasha Lulua. I am a piano teacher, in Cambridge, England.
I studied at the Model School for Music & Ballet, now the Conservatory of Music & Ballet, in Baghdad, Iraq under the guidance of Russian and Hungarian teachers. I graduated from the Vienna University of Music and the Performing Arts, in Austria, with a piano teaching diploma. Following this I began work as a piano teacher at a music school in the province of Lower Austria. Later on, I had my own group of private piano pupils in England, in two different locations.I then taught music in Dubai at a prestigious school that was reserved exclusively for the Sheikh’s children as well as other children of the ruling family. In order to further my career, I took up the position of head of music in a number of other private schools in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Now back in Cambridge, I teach individually 50+ piano students at my studio. My students range from beginners up to Grade Eight, and from as young as 4 to 74.
